Sunday Snapshots: Different

I grabbed this shot as we all hurried to the van to drive to our home church fellowship. It was a milestone day for Bekah as she served as our church pianist today, accompanying the group as we sang hymns together. She has played at church before, but not with others singing along, which is quite different.

Also different was our Sunday afternoon. Kristin and Brian and the children were on their "summer" vacation, but we asked guests to join us instead. What a delightful time we had as we exchanged testimonies of God's goodness in our lives!

Different can be good. It gives us opportunity to grow.

  1. She looks so pretty and sophisticated in her Sunday go to meeting clothes! How wonderful that she could serve by being the pianist...no small thing! I'd have enjoyed being a fly on the wall.

Different can be good; otherwise, one just goes around and round.

I'm certain she did well! Tell her Sarah started taking lessons again recently! She is so excited about it!

    Love you all!

  3. Bekah is beautiful in her pretty outfit. I know you were so proud of her playing in church. My 6 year old granddaughter has started taking lessons and it is a joy to see her learning. Your table is beautiful. What a blessing those times of fellowship are!
    Blessings to you, Sharon D.

  5. Wonderful photo--she looks so composed and confident! I remember having to play at church --- what seemed easy at home seemed a bit more challenging with an audience of singers!

  6. I love Bekah's outfit! How wonderful for her to play the piano at church! All of us are musical wanna-be's around here. We all love it, but none of us can play anything.

  8. Bekah's sweetness shines out of her face. Such a cute outfit, too.
As someone who used to play piano for church, and started about the same time as Bekah, I say, "good for you." It's not easy, that's for sure. But doing it often brings ease and confidence.
