Gathering the Moments of August

August was a whirlwind of comings and goings, anniversaries and birthdays, and not a lot of white space on the calendar. Although my normal comfort zone has a greater proportion of white, who could say no to the wonderful opportunities that the Lord provided this month?

It was a month to say yes

At the end of the whirlwind was our first day of school...August 31st, our earliest first day ever! Both student and teacher were ready. September promises to be a full month too, so we're trying to get a bit of a head start.

As I reflect on all that has been, I can only be grateful for all of His gifts.

  1. Time to reflect is ALWAYS time well spent! Now for September, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established ." (Proverbs 16:3).

  8. Some wonderful moments. I do like your idea of how you gather up these memories into a monthly post. A lovely way to keep it from scattering. And much simpler to do in month-size bites than all at once somewhere down the road when you're scratching your head when that actually happened.

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead.

  13. There are always so many things on which to comment, but I'll keep it to a minimum :-)
Your bathing suit... LOVE it! I am in need of a new one similar to that. Next year!
I admire how you fill your August with family gatherings despite the heat. It shows me your heart pushes past the discomfort to love your family! And beach days? The sand? THAT's true love in action right there!
Has anyone told you how adorable your grandchildren are? The should. Because it is true. Your grandchildren are adorable.
Look at Bekah growing up. I remember her baby face with the biggest eyes! Such a beautiful young woman!
There is so much more I could say but I don't want to be effusive. But, yeah, that was another lovely post!
