As we rifled through the bins of paper products at Christmas Tree Shops in early October, Kati held up napkins and plates with adorable woodland creatures. "These can be for the November birthday party!"
Perfect. For what could be a better when the birthday people are a 24-year-old woman, a 7-year-old boy, and a 3-year-old boy?

A woodland theme it was! So easy to blend with bits of autumn decor. Leaves and acorns. (Oops. I meant to get out some pine cones too.) Trail mix for woodland paths. Cups labeled with things you might see in the woods. "Happy Harvest Bingo" (picked up at Target's Dollar Spot).
Of course, there were some Wrapping Paper Antics!
I didn't get a photo of the birthday cake. It was an apple dump cake made in the crock pot by the birthday girl. Sooo easy and sooo yummy, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. . . . a great fall dessert. We will surely make it again.
♫ Happy Birthday ♫

That store would be one of my regular stops if I lived in Lancaster! So many great choices!

DeleteThe November birthday celebration in your home is so nice, Cheryl. I like the paper goods that helped to create a lovely theme for the birthday folks. You can really tell those two boys are brothers--so adorable. The birthday boy photo in the window is a keeper. And very creative wrapping paper glasses! So funny. ♥

DeleteWhat a perfectly themed party for all in the fall. Love it. That bingo game is a great find, too. I like Paul's new sweater. The names on the cups are a great idea, too. Y'all put on a great parties!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen! I was happy to find the bingo game. It debuted at the birthday party, but it will return at Thanksgiving and hopefully for many to come. We like to have special things for the kids to do on Thanksgiving Day . . . simple crafts, coloring pages, games.
DeleteI love Paul's sweater too, a gift from my mom. I love children's clothes that look like children's clothes. (He'll have years to dress like a man!) :)
