November {Catch Up?}

I believe I said that I would be posting more frequently in November.

I had lots of plans. If you could take a peek into my draft folder, you'd see what I mean. But life is full these days and so I've decided that today's post will be a photo sampler of the past couple of weeks.

I don't bake often these days,
but when Ryan and family were coming for coffee and dessert,
I made a cranberry upside-down cake and a batch of spicy hermit bars.

Baby K is now 22 months / Joanna is 7 months

Someone arranged the Thanksgiving mice in the tea cups after playing with them. 🧡

Can you see him?

Caleb (18 months) knew exactly what he wanted to wear on their nature walk!

The leaves were late to turn this year and peaked only last week.
I can't get enough of these views!

Annual Mother/Daughter Christmas Shopping Trip

He is neither a mother nor a daughter, but it was good to meet Tom (my uncle-friend) for lunch!

Does morning coffee taste better in the fall?

Ellie (4 months) looks happy in her fall clothes.
Maybe she's an autumn girl like her Gran?

Bekah performed in a local production of All Together Now!, a Broadway review benefiting local theater companies. It was her first time in such a venue and she thoroughly enjoyed it!

Bekah's fan club!

A cozy November evening at home.

What have you been up to this November?

  1. Cheryl, I always enjoy seeing what you have been up to. It's hard to believe how much your grands have grown. Such darling photos of all of them. Kati's cuties are really darling. Those boots are something! And Ellie looks so happy. What more could you ask for? Congrats to Bekah! What a handsome fan club. So much is happening at your home and it's full of blessings.

    1. Oh, don't they grow so very fast? It's such a joy to see them grow and learn as you get insights into their personalities and who they are. Caleb is "such a person" these days (reference to a favorite children's book, Mrs. Katz and Tush), as evidenced in his love for those boots! I will pass along your congrats to Bekah. It was a great experience for her. We have much to be thankful for!

  2. Love your November catch up in photos. Beka is a beauty. Congratulations for her part in the performance. Kati's littles are growing sweetly. Fun to see.
November has been full already with more to come. Lots of kitchen responsibilities at church.

    1. Thank you, Ellen, for all of your kind words . . . and I will pass those along to Bekah and Kati too! Life is always busy, isn't it? I hope that you and your hubby have had a chance to prop your feet up (for a little while at least) after your busy stint in the church kitchen! I am sure that your work is much appreciated!

  3. Congratulations to Bekah on her performance! Such a great assortment of photos here. I love the little mice in the teacups. It's fun to find the places grands place things.

  4. Not nearly as much fun as you have been up to! The grands are growing, the season is advancing. How fun that Bekah had the opportunity to participate in the play.

    1. We have had lots of fun . . . although those are the things that make an enjoyable blog post. Other things, not so much. But God is good and gives grace for the day.

Oh, how very quickly the grands grow and how quickly fall comes and goes. The older you get, the faster it all goes!

  5. How pretty Bekah looks. We have been up to nothing so interesting as you! Just taking life day by day, clearing up Autumn leaves, making home made soup, and trying not to think of Winter.

    1. Thank you, Barbara! How life changes all along the way. We are surrounded by youth in this life season, and we'll enjoy the moments as they come. But your "taking life day by day" sounds cozy, although I am sure that it is not without challenges along with the simple joys.
