I would definitely not cover the windows . . . they open up the room and add a country charm! I think my only suggestion would be to change the color, in the future, of your fireplace doors to black and also paint the brick or maybe just changing the doors to black would add just the rich touch to that area. I see where you have a lot of black accents (which I love) but my eye was drawn to the red of the brick first and the brass before I started looking at how lovely the room was appointed. Great choices and blending of colors from the living room to the dining room. <br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596988245744679027.post-57356493195071110442016-07-27T18:49:42.982-04:002016-07-27T18:49:42.982-04:00Thanks for inviting us into your new living room a...Thanks for inviting us into your new living room arrangement. We have a neutral trim in our family room - very similar to the one you chose. I like the "you" of your new house. The country-feel of the wood floors, fireplace, and the love-knot upholstery on your camel back sofa are especially appealing. I've had my eye on curtain fabric called "Hatfield" and it looks like it might be the same beautiful blue fabric that is in this post. They are so easy to dust and keep clean. Whatever you choose I know it will be beautiful. Love reading your blog also. I love what you've done to the living room with paint, hardwood floors, and no curtains! I'll have to look up cellular blinds, but anything that could keep that window uncovered most of the time would get my vote. Your Pineapple House is lovely. You've done such a great job decorating it. I love your choice of paint. I'm glad the house is starting to feel more like your own. It looks sharp that way! I would opt for thinking way out of the box for a window privacy treatment...I do like a plain window...so the bamboo covering outside on the sunporch sounds perfect for what I like. (I have Pella windows with the screens inside, but your option is a uniquely special one.) Whatever you do will make it your own and be perfect for your family! The Pineapple House is beautiful and is so YOU. I love the paint colors you have chosen for your home. I'm with a lot of the others, I thought your front window looks lovely without window treatment. I so love the fabric you are thinking about. So bold and lovely. Your home is always so warm and inviting, dear one. I think it's because of the contrasting darker trim that makes them look already treated! I love what you've done. We also live in a neighborhood without drapes on our front windows. But I do have shades I can pull down if the time comes that I want it. But we don't sit in our front rooms so much in the evening. I mostly pull it down for the sun in the heat of summer, but miss being able to look out! I actually kind of like what you've done with the cafe curtains. Shutters would look good too. I like the fabric you have chosen and love the paint colors!podsohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14880888514207597761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596988245744679027.post-23329518589994335722016-07-20T10:17:39.664-04:002016-07-20T10:17:39.664-04:00Oh your right....I LOVE housey things, lol. I think if it were me I'd leave that window bare...part of the charm, and cover the screen porch windows with the roll up bamboo. All I know is everything about this home makes me want to come in, sit down, and spend time. And that's about as good as it gets.
