I have been missing in action . . . and "action" is certainly the correct description!
The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas was so short this year. My days have been full of ordinary busyness, holiday prep, a few special events, and a week of sickness just to make life interesting. (And my sickness has included an extended period of laryngitis so I haven't even been able to sing Christmas music!)
In the meantime, there has been no time for blogging, no time for commenting (even though I pop in to read blogs now and then).

Will I ever go back and Gather the Moments of November?
Will I ever finish telling you about our house projects of 2023?
Will this be the first time in my sixteen years of blogging that I will not do a Christmas home tour?!
Perhaps. 😑
Oh, but we are excited about the days to come! We have children arriving on Friday (tomorrow!) and more on Saturday and our home and our hearts will be filled with joy and celebration!
So before I disappear again, I wanted to pop in to wish you, my dear friends, a blessed Christmas!
May you know the reality of Emmanuel:
God With Us!
I hope you feel really well very soon. Enjoy this lovely time with your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara! We did have a wonderful time together! I hope that your Christmas celebrations were lovely too!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Cheryl. May the reality of Immanuel give you joy today.
ReplyDeleteLorrie, I hope that you and your family also had a joyful holiday! Blessings in the New Year!
DeleteThanks for your beautiful thoughts, Cheryl. Emmanuel - God with Us! So precious and comforting a word. Wishing you a complete restoration of your voice and health so that you may sing and delight in this beautiful season with great joy.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! xo
"Emmanuel" may be the most comforting word that there is! I was able to sing (although not with full voice) in my church's Christmas cantata for which I was most grateful! It has been a long haul, but my voice is probably 95% better now.
DeleteI hope that your Christmas celebration was also joy-filled! New Year blessings to you and yours!
Oh what fun as you anticipate all the gathering together to worship our LORD and Savior. Happy to read some will be arriving today. Ours will all descend on Christmas Day. A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and ALL of yours! Peace and Joy!
ReplyDeleteOh, we had a wonderful time together, and I trust that you all did too! Blessings in the New Year!
DeleteCheryl by now your family is joining you in your home. How wonderful to have a houseful of loved ones. Our New England family will arrive by train early Sunday morning. The others will be here Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteI have been missing in action as well, but not for sickness. Hopefully you are in good health now so you can enjoy the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Merry Christmas to you my friend!
We had such a lovely time together! I trust that all of you did too! Such a gift to have our loved ones near! (And yes, I was feeling much better by the time our family arrived!)
DeleteBlessings in the New Year to you and yours!
How wonderful to be with family! Trust you all will not be sick and you can enjoy the time spent celebrating. This kind of busyness is good to gather together.
ReplyDeleteI was feeling much better and we did indeed have a lovely celebration! i trust that your family also had a joy-filled holiday!
DeleteBlessings in the New Year to you and yours!
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!! Enjoy all the busyness and find time to breath. I too am very "behind" but brighter days are ahead. Hugs ...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosella! We had a wonderful time together. I am so grateful! I trust that you also enjoyed some lovely days! I am hoping for some slow and restful days this January. (We'll see how that goes!) Hugs back . . . and blessings in the New Year!

Blessings of the New Year to all of you!
I hope you felt well enough to enjoy the holiday celebrations, Cheryl! A house full of excited children sounds pretty perfect for Christmas. I hope it was great, and that 2025 is good to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Becki! I felt very well during the Christmas holidays, and my voice returned just enough that I was able to sing in our church's Christmas cantata. Oh, we had a wonderful time together! I hope to share a little bit of it soon . . .
DeleteI hope that your Christmas was lovely as well . . . and a blessed New Year to you and yours!
