Last week, Kati helped me clean out the linen closet. We found an embarrassingly large stack of clean linens waiting to be ironed.

How wonderful that must feel. I used to stay caught up on all the ironing. Confession---I have a stack on the laundry table downstairs that only gets attended to when an event arises. Good for you! ♥

DeleteIroning isn't my favourite chore at all. When I do get to it, I set up the ironing board in front of the tv, put on a movie, and go at it. You do set some beautiful tables!

DeleteI chose the same ironing method. One evening, we watched A Civil Action with John Travolta. I am not a Travolta fan and expected not to like it, but I got caught up in this true story about a case involving water contamination.
I love to iron! What a lovely set of linens. I never know how to store them though...hang them up, roll them, or fold them...I currently do all three in two different places!

DeleteI usually fold all of my linens because of limited storage, but sometimes they look like they need the iron again when they come out (especially tablecloths). Usually I just spritz them with some water, smooth them out with my hands, and say "good enough."
Fun post! Some ironing can be pleasant; this might qualify; otherwise, get Kati to do it!

DeleteHomeGoods is a great place to search. I got all my red plaid napkins there this past fall. I happened to be there when they were getting ready to put them out. I quickly texted Ron to see what he thought and he said, "Go for it." So I went for it and purchased them before they ever even hit the shelves! :)
Congratulations on a job I am sure is well done. Cheryl your tables are so beautifully decorated for each holiday. It certainly does one's heart good to sit down to pretty dishes and decorations. Food always tastes better served on a special plate. Have a great week.
