Last week, this experiment was circulating on Facebook and Bekah wanted to try it. She poured some half-and-half into a dish, and put several drops of food coloring around the edge. Then she soaked a Q-tip in dish soap and dipped it into the cream. Pretty cool!
And then THIS happened !

ReplyDeleteSo cool! We did a similar but far less dramatic experiment at that age. We used oil? black pepper and the dish soap.

ReplyDeleteGavin found a similar experiment in a book a few weeks ago and we tried it. And like most science experiments that we try, it failed. We gave it 2 attempts and were very disappointed. I'll have to show this to Gavin.

Kristin, as you know, 99% of the science experiments I have ever done have been failures, even the "no fail" ones, sp I was particularly impressed with this one! We'll do it next Sunday! :)

ReplyDeleteI love it. And isn't it just like life...a bowl of cream (good stuff) with dish soap (the bitter not-so-good) = something beautiful, even artistic but the Great Artist Himself. :D
