As a homebody, I love house-y things! I fully realize that my true home is not here, nor anywhere on this earth. But while I'm here, I am grateful for my home and try to make it warm and welcoming, cozy and comforting, a place of blessing.
For years, Ron and I have attended a candlelight house tour in a nearby community. It is so lovely I have sometimes wished I could relocate my house for that one night and join in on the fun! So this year I have decided to join in on The Nester's fun! And it is a lot easier than relocating my house. And I didn't have to bake hundreds of cookies. Or even deluxe clean, because I could move anything that I didn't want you to see into another room.
So glad that YOU could come in and share our farmhouse Christmas!

Love the tree in the kitchen now! And are those candycanes I spy in the jar under the backdoor table? I predict it will be 4 short after Sunday. :-)

Yep...candy canes in the jar! :-) And we'll be happy to share 4...or 6...or more!
ReplyDeleteNew table by the back door? Love it! Everything looks great and cozy. Just the way I like it. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the table is new...Ronnie made it this fall.
ReplyDeleteThe milk can that had sat there for years needed a paint job, so one day I just moved it out and decided not to return it (even if I did get around to painting it). But then we realized how much we used it to set things on as we came and went...library books, purses, etc. Soooooooo, this table met our needs for something on which to plop stuff. ;-)
Since the original idea was "to plop", I determined NOT to decorate it...leave it bare except for the lamp, hence plenty of plopping space. Guess how long that lasted!
Cheryl, your home is so beautiful. I remember the first time I ever walked inside. I was spellbound. It was like a Wonderland. I don't think I've seen it decorated for Christmas, but your pictures show me that the Wonderland is even more charming during this special time of year. And the beauty is far deeper than the outward things.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! The simple beauty is breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteHaving seen you home one year at Christmas time, it brings back such good memories to see these pictures. It is so lovely and "warm".
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ann
