As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Snail's Pace
Bekah is doing a page in her math book. We are waiting for her to finish so that we can eat lunch. Mom: Bekah, you were going great guns at first, but now you’re going at a snail’s pace.
When you go at a snail's pace, you are able to savor every little moment. I wish more of the world would go at a snail's pace, especially the part of the world that is on the highways and byways.
