As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Dear Strawberries,

We're going to miss you.

See you next year!

  1. Clever women make their strawberries into fresh desserts that delight today, and put up pantry jams to enjoy the rest of the year! You clever gal...

I've been known to miss the season before putting any up. Not so clever...

    Blessings, Debbie

  2. Ah, so now, Debbie, you force me to admit that the preserves were actually put up by my husband while I was meeting with a couple of gals planning a bridal shower. After the meeting, I did assist him a bit.

    (Perhaps that was clever.) :-D
