As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Back to School

Back to earlier wake-ups and Morning Time and poetry and Mozart and co-op and The Vikings and The History of Medicine and narrations and new pencils and new words and afternoon tea and reading on the love seat and routine.

It's good to be back.

  1. Back to routine. Summer is great, but I'm always glad when autumn comes, too. Your little student looks very pleased to be back in class!

  3. And what other school allows a glass of ice water on the desk...table? Your student looks happy and that's a very good thing. Have a wonderful school year!
