Does it ever seem to you that spring comes all of a sudden? One day it is cold and the trees are bare and the grass is brown. And then, almost imperceptibly, spring slips in and all is green and bright and bits of color are all around.
When Ron brought home our Friday night carry-out, he said, "We really need to eat out on the patio tonight." So I hastily gathered drinks, napkins, ketchup, put it all on a wooden tray, and out we went to enjoy meatball subs al fresco.
Oh, it was a perfect evening...not cold, not hot, not humid. The evening sun shone brightly.
Spring has sprung.
And we enjoyed spring in our little corner of the world.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
Song of Solomon 2:12
Beautiful, and we both had the same thoughts for a post for today ;-) I hope I get a blossom on my lilac.....but after seeing yours in bloom already, I guess not :( (sigh) xo
ReplyDeleteYes, we've been reveling in it these last few days!
ReplyDeleteI love your herb garden...and your cats and your girls...
Well, you get the idea!
Love you too!

That last pictures is poi poi.
ReplyDeleteYou really describe it well; that's how it happens, all of a sudden. Except this year it seems to have gone back and forth a bit. But I often think about how these cool, non-humid temperatures are perfect, and here in the south there's a short window. And speaking of windows, there's not many days when we can enjoy them open, for right now the pollen just pours in with the nice spring breezes. :-)
