As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

"Born That Man No More May Die"

As I was out running errands this week, the words "born that man no more may die" pierced my heart, and I drove home with a few last minute gifts and a renewed appreciation of The Gift

This is the heart of Christmas. This is the reason He came.

  1. We are thinking in similar veins today! He is definitely in the sheep rescuing business. Praise God.

Is the weather horrendous down there? It is vile here.

  2. I just thought that your "moment" reminded me of the one I mentioned at Deanna's today. (John can not see "the moment," but I can and Deanna can and I think you'll be able to as well.) It's one of those lightbulb ones that folks speak of.

  5. Yes, Vee, I see "the moment"...and oh how glorious it is when one such moments happens in your own heart. When an eternal truth dawns on you...well, there is just nothing like it!
