As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

The Good Life
While sorting through (gazundles of) stuff in my bedroom, I came across a card with this message...
We can be lost slaves to sin or servants of the living God who is generous, gracious, and merciful to us. It is wonderful to reside in the shelter of his wings.
Ahhh...the good news is that Christianity is not a self-improvement program. It is a yielding...daily...so He can live in and through us. Your graphic is so beautiful...must pin.
Great reminder Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteAmen!!
ReplyDeleteI think about you every day! Your name is in my daily prayer journal......
Love and prayers from Texas!
It's that simple, but still a challenge!
ReplyDeleteThat's where the 'real' good life is found!

ReplyDeleteCheryl, I couldn't agree more with Dotsie's comment. ♥

ReplyDeleteWords to live by! And, yes, I agree it's a challenge.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, Cheryl!
Oh I love your word 'gazundles'. Fits in with my own collection of handmade words.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long since I've been to visit. I'm catching up on previous posts. Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Cheryl!
