As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

No Dresses?

Upon learning that we were planning to watch Jeopardy again this evening (as we do most every evening), Bekah says, "I despise Jeopardy. Especially when they hardly ever wear dresses."

What is this world coming to when the Jeopardy contestants don't wear dresses?

  1. How funny, Cheryl! I needed a sweet, simple laugh. And you and Bekah provided it. Mark and I often watch Jeopardy, too. I'll never watch it again without wondering where all the dresses are.

  2. :-) Frances, Bekah is "such a person" (Mrs. Katz and Tush). She rarely watches with us, but always runs into the living room at the end, when the show is going off and Alex is talking to the contestants...just to see if any of the females are wearing dresses! One night, a girl was wearing a skirt and Bekah pouted, "And she didn't even win."

  3. Cheryl, that is just so funny! You wonder how on earth we humans come up with such ideas and such leanings! Your house is not boring, is it? :-)

  4. That is so Bekah! I like dresses, too, but I must bend in the winter because I prefer jeans to cold legs. :-)

  5. Just read the comments to Bekah, which she enjoyed. Her one word response to Kristin's comment: "Leggings."

And Frances, you are right...it is rarely boring. :-)
