As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

(But just for the record, I did not refuse to let Tommy in...I was just embarrassed that someone whose home is always tidy should enter mine in its quite untidy state! Re-read that post...

  4. Cheryl, Thank you for stopping by my blog and even more for your kind words. ALS is an ugly disease and is difficult for all involved. I pray your friend knows the LORD, for without Him, I would have been a real mess.

Even these many months later, your words bless me because the holidays are still hard with Mom gone. I just don't think we are ever old enough to lose our mom.

    blessings to you and yours!
