As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

And one of my favorite pictures of the day...
Alaine, 8 months

A day of sweet memories and dear loved ones and happy voices and inspiring music and good food and a perfect-weather-day to enjoy the new patio...wrapped up with a Mother's Day phone call from my faraway family, completed by sweet voices saying "I love you!"

I am a blessed woman!

  1. Ooh, just what Mother's Day should look like! How blessed you are. I want to reach right into that last photo and hug up that sweetie pie...
