It was an ordinary Sunday.
There was no special meal, just simple fare. It was not a holiday or someone's birthday. The kids didn't perform. There was no spring fashion show, no educational activities.
We played our weekly game of Apples to Apples while the children all played or watched Veggie Tales or Arthur streamed from Netflix. We chatted and exchanged stories from the week and talked about homeschooling and ate toffee chip brownies and laughed and enjoyed one another's company.
But maybe the ordinary is pretty extraordinary.
Love those kinds of days!
ReplyDeleteSweet photo!

Yes, the ordinary days are the extraordinary ones as well. What two cutie pies. I have an aunt nine years older than myself and we are great friends. These two are even closer!
ReplyDeleteAh yes...spent the day with my 97 year old father and our neighbors and it was the best Sunday ever...sort of Mayberrylike..what could be better?

It sounds just right. And the picture of the girls is beautiful. How amazing it is too have your niece as your friend at that age, my oldest niece is 24!
ReplyDeleteYou're really doing it. The kitchen is getting a facelift... I can't wait to see it.
Bekah's French party was amazing. You really are something else. I LOVE the awning and the menu!
I had a fabulous weekend but long and I am wiped out. Finished the taxes today and look forward to blogging a bit more regularly again.. we'll see.
