As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

  4. Ooh, I can hardly wait for the aroma of apples and cinnamon to permeate my kitchen as I make up a pot of applesauce.

Your cakes sounds delish! I'll take a slice, along with a cup of Earl Grey.

  7. Your kitchen looks so pretty and neat. I love apples in the fall and one fave way is to dip them in marzetti caramel-peanut butter dip (when I can get it).

  8. All your apple pictures are beautifully done. Apples are not only good to eat (an apple a day keeps the doctor away) but they are so pretty to look at.
