As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.
Of course it IS!!!! What a beautiful post!! Loved seeing all your pretty things!
ReplyDeleteApples definitely speak of fall - one of my favorite fall things. This is a very pretty apple post.

Yes, September is a very appley month. Cake sounds so yummy with a cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I can hardly wait for the aroma of apples and cinnamon to permeate my kitchen as I make up a pot of applesauce.
ReplyDeleteYour cakes sounds delish! I'll take a slice, along with a cup of Earl Grey.
Blessings,
Patti
I read this while listening to my girls munching on apples while Tim reads The Hobbit to them!
ReplyDeleteWe love apples and apple desserts!

September does say apples for sure. Now can you slice a piece of yummy cake for me? Have a great rest of your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks so pretty and neat. I love apples in the fall and one fave way is to dip them in marzetti caramel-peanut butter dip (when I can get it).
ReplyDeleteAll your apple pictures are beautifully done. Apples are not only good to eat (an apple a day keeps the doctor away) but they are so pretty to look at.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It looks like you are practicing still life photography, LOL.
ReplyDeleteWonderful glimpses of Autumn in your kitchen Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteI particularly love your header with the lovely blue and white china, the pumpkins and orange berries!
I can't wait to try your harvest Apple Cake, it sounds so yummy!
That mosaic is wonderful - I'm wondering how you did it???
Have a happy week
Shane
PS I agree with Donna - wonderful still life shots!
Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteOooo that recipe looks heavenly. I like how you have it in the domed cake stand. Looks so inviting.

Beautiful, beautiful photos! I love the bits of red here and there. It's so cheery. Very clever graphic on the first photo, btw.
ReplyDeleteWarm beautiful photos, Cheryl, filled with the delights of autumn. Apples are the thing around here lately, too. Such a wonderful time of year!
