As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

"The Dog Ate My Homework"

So when your computer is in the shop for two weeks and you're using your daughter's when it's free and then your daughter's computer goes to the shop right after you publish a blog post and then hers comes back and then it is free in the late, late hours or during the day when you're homeschooling and/or getting ready for company and then your internet fails for some unknown reason and then reappears just as mysteriously and your inbox is full of emails to which you have not replied...

Yes, that's what we have here.

Excuses, excuses. But the struggle is real.

Preview of Kati's freshly painted bedroom

I'll be back...someday...

  10. Love the title "The dog ate my homework." Another way of saying it is "Technology is wonderful, as long as it doesn't crash." Hope it all sorts out soon for you, Cheryl.
