💕 PINKY 💕
We're not sure when she was born, but she came to us a little over ten years ago.
She was petite and bold and needy and full of attitude,
and she had a loud, deep voice that startled everyone.
and she had a loud, deep voice that startled everyone.
And she won her way into our home and into our hearts.
Several weeks ago, our Pinky had a stroke.
Several weeks ago, our Pinky had a stroke.
She seemed to recover, but then she had at least two more strokes.
From the last one, she did not recover.
We were so sad to let her go, and we'll miss her dearly,
but we are glad that she was a part of our lives.
I hope you will be able to dwell on the lovely memories of Pinky.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara. We certainly do have lots of memories. ♥
DeleteSo sorry about this. We've had three kitties in the last 30 years and, like you said, they just touch our heart and become part of the family. What a pretty kitty she was - I know you'll miss her.
ReplyDeleteOh, then you know what we're feeling. Thank you for your kind words, Mary. ♥
DeleteOh no! Pinky! She was a pretty girl with attitude! I’m so sorry.
ReplyDeleteYou have Pinky pegged exactly right! Thank you, Deanna. ♥
DeleteOh dear Pinky...she looks so much like my grandkitty who is one ancient kitty for sure. I know the hole they leave when gone. I do like to think that kitties have a special place in Heaven. How loving of God to provide us with pets who comfort and bring joy. Love to all...
ReplyDeleteI really do feel like she was a gift to us from God. The girls (especially Bekah) wanted a cat so badly . . . and the Lord sent two cats to us!
DeleteThank you for your kind words. ♥
Goodbye, Pinky. I always enjoyed seeing her in your photos, Cheryl. Hugs to you and your family as you adjust to your loss. She certainly lived with a wonderful family. xo
ReplyDeletePinky did show up in a lot of photos! She just always seemed to be where things were happening. Thank you for your hugs and kind words. ♥
DeleteYou, your family, and she were blessed to have each other. I'm sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteLove & hugs ~ FlowerLady
Thanks so much, Lorraine. ♥
DeleteCheryl, I am so sorry to hear about Pinky! As a bona fide cat lady, I always loved seeing her in your posts. Cats are beautiful blessings and dear friends.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Carol. Pinky was both: a beautiful blessing and a dear friend. ♥
DeleteIt certainly is such a sad thing to lose a pet and I am so sorry to hear that you lost your sweet Pinky. We have recently started feeding several feral cats in the neighborhood and one of them in particular has gotten so brave...she will almost let me pet her...she actually looks a lot like Pinky. These cats have also made a cat lover (liker?) out of my Jim, a miracle in itself! Sending you hugs as you remember her with love.♥
ReplyDeleteThose needy kitties can certainly win hearts! Thanks for your hugs and kind words, Debby! ♥
DeleteSorry for the loss of this dear pet but as you said you were able to enjoy the years that she was part of your lives.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ellen! ♥
DeleteIt is so hard to lose a furry member of our family. I am convinced that we see our beloved pets in Heaven.
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I remember when you lost Victoria. Yes, it is a very hard thing. ♥

ReplyDeleteThank you for your sympathy, Tammy. ♥
DeleteAw - such a sweet and loving post to remember your Pinky. She will be missed in your home.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosella. She is definitely missed. ♥
DeleteCheryl, so sorry about Pinky. She certainly found the right "mom" in you. You gave her a wonderful life, and these little creatures add so much to ours. It's a difficult thing to lose one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your words of comfort, Jean. ♥
DeleteSo sorry to read about Pinky, Cheryl, I know of the loss of a pet/friend, especially one that comes to us of their choosing, losing our dog, Jack, last year was very hard!
