As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Wedding Bliss {Part 3: The People}

I know you are wondering if I'll ever stop talking about Kati and Andrew's wedding! But I have this post and one more lined up, and then I will stop. (At least, after that I won't have any more whole posts about the wedding. Deal?)

In this post, I am going to show you the people . . . so many people who are near to Kati's and Andrew's hearts!

(You may will see some tousled hair in these shots as the weather was beautiful, but breezy!)

Andrew and Kati with their nieces and nephews

It was important to Andrew and Kati that every single one of their nieces and nephews (including the children of Andrew's cousin who have always called him "Uncle Andrew") would have a special role to play in their special day.
So this group consists of two guest book attendants, two ushers, three singers, one Scripture reader, three flower girls, and three ring bearers! (Kati's nine-month-old nephew Judah and Andrew's six-week-old nephew Maddox were named the "official criers," although thankfully, they did not fulfill those roles during the wedding! Baby Maddox is not in this photo, but he is seen in a couple below.)

Again, we thank our friends Frances and Gary for recording these moments so beautifully!

  1. Have to comment! 😉 Such a joyous day and one for the memory books now. I hope that the newlyweds are doing great and are very well on their way to a beautiful marriage for God’s glory. Love seeing all these family members who lovingly support Kati and Andrew. And I really like the blue.,.looks so flattering on the attendants. Again, Kati was one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen and I am not one bit biased here.

    1. Girl, you really should be resting, but I am so happy that you're feeling well enough to comment! ♥

It really was such a joyous day! The newlyweds are doing well, enjoying the process of making Andrew's home into their home together. (Makes me want to hop on a plane and see all of the changes in person . . . and you know that I hate to fly!)

Although I am biased, I agree that Kati was a gorgeous bride!

    2. And again...I am high on steroids. Can't sleep. I feel as if I could clean my house, including the basement. I figure reading blogs is as much rest as I can provide for myself. I was out scrubbing the front steps at 6 a.m. I can't go on like that. LOL!

    3. Scrubbing the front steps at 6 a.m.?! At least you're productive! Hope you'll get some rest somewhere along the line. ♥

So much went into this day it's good to document it all. May God bless Andrew and Kati with peace, love and joy in their marriage.

    1. You are right. A lot of care and thought went into this day. Kati is very organized. She had only four months to plan, but plan she did! She had a binder that went everywhere she went and lists galore!

Frances had some great ideas for photographs! She is an artist!

I loved the blue too. I thought the royal blue was the perfect backdrop to the blue of the hydrangeas (a flower that both Kati and Andrew love).

  13. Dear dear Cheryl, Oh what a joy for me to visit you this afternoon, I have so enjoyed reading about Kati and Andrew"s wedding, it was so beautiful and so spiritual, certainly ordained by a loving heavenly Father ,and planned by such a loving family. I guess it's okay to cry as I have joyous tears, it has been such a joy for me that you have shared your family these few years, I have seen Kati grow into such a beautiful young woman, and Bekka too, as well as the growing of your family. May God continue to bless and keep all of you in His loving care.
You were beautiful too, and both you and Ron were absolutely beaming with pride and love.
Congratulations and best wishes to all!
    Love,
    Sue
