Oh, what a beautiful day it was!
Yes, the spring weather was beautiful. Warm, sunny, low humidity. The best you can ask for in the Mid-Atlantic! But it was also a beautiful day of excitement, rejoicing, and love! A day to bring glory to our Lord for His beautiful plan!
I have decided to divide the wedding day photos among several posts. I promised you photos, but here are so many wonderful pictures and beautiful moments, it seemed overwhelming to do it all at once.
Instead?
Wedding overload!

Wedding overload!
Wedding photos were taken by our dear friend, Frances. She has taken many photos for our family through the years (you can see some ~here~ and ~here~ and ~here~ and ~here~). About the wedding photos, Frances made this remark, " . . . when you are photographing people you love, it is very easy to see the moments through the lens of your heart." These photos were truly a gift from her heart and we couldn't be more pleased or more grateful!
After weeks of planning and organizing and meetings and tending to seemingly endless details, on Wedding Day, Kati was surprisingly calm. Last minute tasks had been delegated to generous friends and family, allowing us to revel in the joy of the day!
After our hair and make-up session at the salon, we had planned a simple lunch of bite-sized morsels (cheese cubes, small crackers, grapes) . . . so that our freshly made up lips would not be smudged. Kristin had brought a variety of drinks and (also thinking of our lips) straws for sipping. My sister brought coffees.
The bridal party gathered at our house to get ready for the big event!
Our house was full of wedding garments . . .
. . . and hair styling . . .
. . . and family . . .
. . . and love.
Frances took the ladies outside for a few sweet "before" pictures.
"In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job."
(I think that Ron might feel a little like Job. ♥ )
Then we came back inside to wait until it was time to drive over to the church.

ReplyDeleteHappy memories, I'm sure! Yes, so special!
Deleteabsolutely breathtaking. ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry! ♥
Delete🌿beautiful photos all...my favorite is the tenth...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vee! Oh, I love that one too . . . me and my girl. ♥
DeleteHow beautiful she looks and the family getting ready is so precious. Our youngest gets married August 3rd, so I am in the get the plans done and order the stuff stage. This is our 3rd and last one to be married. Thank goodness. Just getting them all through college about killed me and this is the final step. We are done..... I hope.
ReplyDeleteOooo . . . I am excited for your family! Soooo many details, so much to do. Kati is a planner and did the lion's share of the planning herself. I called myself her consultant. :) But I can certainly see why you're relieved. Planning a wedding is not for the faint of heart!
DeleteAbsolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara!
DeleteI’ve seen so many of Frances’ beautiful photos and I still can’t get enough! Such wonderful photos of people whom my heart loves! ❤️
ReplyDeleteAwwww . . . I am so glad that you enjoy and appreciate Frances's artistry! And your sweet words of love bring tears! ♥
DeleteSo beautiful! I agree with Vee's favorite but they are all lovely. Gorgeous colors and love the plethora (not to excess of course) of hydrangeas! Kati is stunning and so is her mom!
ReplyDeleteDotsie, you are too kind!! ♥
DeleteKati and Andrew both love hydrangeas, so it was an obvious choice for them. And, of course, the blues followed the flowers!
Every one so lovely in preparation and anticipation for the glorious event. Loved each photo. So sweet. Kati is a beautiful bride.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ellen! I am glad you enjoyed the photos and sensed the mood. I must agree with you that Kati was a beautiful bride!
DeleteSuch happiness! Lovely, lovely pictures! Congratulations to your whole family!
ReplyDeleteSo much happiness! Thank you, Kate!
DeleteWhat wonderful photos, one and all! Love the royal blue color theme...and Katie's dress was so elegant. She looked like a princess!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debby! I, too, thought Kati's dress was elegant and just right!
DeleteWonderful photos!! Your daughter seems so happy and is beautiful. So are you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for those kind words! Yes, Kati is happy and is beautiful through and through!
DeleteCheryl, how lovely! I love seeing a beautiful *and* modest wedding gown. Brides should not look like strippers! And the mother of the bride looked gorgeous, too!
ReplyDeleteI loved that about Kati's gown too, Jean . . . it was modest and elegant! (Cracking up at your stripper observation. And agreeing!)
DeleteThanks for your kind words!
Oh my, I can feel the anticipation growing... wonderful photo moments!
ReplyDeleteMore to come!
