As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

A Little Getaway


August is a busy month at our house (and yes, I'm still planning a Gathering the Moments post for  August) so we usually defer our anniversary celebration until September. Earlier this week we had a little getaway in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  

 Coffee shops, cafes, antique shopping, and more coffee. It's the way we celebrate. 

We brought home this adorable pumpkin from Strasburg Antique Market.


and had the cutest latte ever from the Corner Coffee Shop! 




Thankful to our good God for our 46 years!

    How wonderful, dear Cheryl! Happy anniversary to you and Ron! Forty-six years together as man and wife is so special my friend. I love the photo of you two smiling. And the piggie on the latte is just the sweetest. And your pumpkin looks right at home in front of your beautiful crock with bittersweet. Lancaster County, Pennsylvania sounds like the perfect place to celebrate.
