As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Note Card Party: Sea-side

Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.

Thus the little minutes,
Humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages
Of eternity.

A Haven for Vee

  1. Your Seaside photos would make beautiful note cards, Cheryl. My favorite is Beka relaxing by the water. Thanks for sharing.
    Enjoy your day,

  2. Adorable. Love that little pail! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. awesome views. where did the sand bucket come from? that is a antique, no? love it. (:

  4. Each one is terrific, though I am calling this one for Bekah looking out over the water. It's so beautiful that it should be framed. Then, too, the ocean rolling in looks so refreshing.

Stay cool, Cheryl! We're having the BLT salad tonight. ☺

  5. Love your watery selection of Note Cards. Full of summer fun!!!

  6. Hi Cheryl! I can just imagine the inn porch decorated for autumn! Oh my...lovely photos, I felt cooler just by looking at them. xo

  7. These are so great! And the verse is perfect!

  8. Nice refreshing photos on such a HOT day.

  9. Very nice. Love the verse you chose to go with the images...

  10. I love the shot of the bucket!

  11. Cheryl,
Your photos and verse go perfectly together!
    Lovely post!

  12. Enjoyed your notecard selection. If I found those in a box at the stationery store, I'd be wanting those in my collection.

What a great sandpail. Love those 'oldies'

...and the young Miss on the pier, that's priceless!
