These are glimpses of our July.
Glimpses that do not show all the challenges...an injury for my father, multiple vet visits, the two year mark of the passing of Ron's dad.
Glimpses that do show many moments of joy and blessing...family times, times with friends, house projects, a new laptop for Kati (hooray for no more sharing!), summer foods (including the first blackberries from our bushes), the glories of God's marvelous creation.
And the comfort that He has walked with us through it all.
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart.
Naught be all else to me save that Thou art.
What a treat for me Cheryl, to get to see your July calendar at once, especially since I have been away from blogging. I must try and get back to read each post as soon as possible. It looks as though it was a fun filled month except for the challenges you mentioned, I will be praying for your father's healing, and that all is well with the kitties. The loss of a parent is one that is very hard to deal with, both DH and I miss his parents as well as my dad. The most wonderful thing that helps us, is the fond memories we share about them.
ReplyDeleteBeka and your grandchildren are growing up so fast.
Looking forward to August, I am trying to get back to blogging, I find it gets harder the longer you stay away. Always a joy to visit.
Hugs,
Sue
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and yet they rarely tell the whole story. But I see love, joy, and peace, a reflection of the One we serve when I look at your pictures, and am confident that His blessings are abundant in your family!
ReplyDeleteI still get a chuckle when I see the photo of one of your girls stomping through the rain in her wellies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Wow was that all rain in that one pic???
ReplyDeleteLucy, yes, that was all rain! We got six inches in one day!!
ReplyDeleteI love these posts you do so much. It makes me want to do it, too, but that would require more organization than I currently have. Love the umbrella/skipping in the rain photo! That is so cute.
ReplyDeleteLife certainly does have plenty of ebb and flow... Hope that your dad is feeling better. Love how you do a month in review...the pictures prove the love and joy.
ReplyDeleteLife is sunshine and shadow isn't it? It's been so in our lives this month. I remind myself to fear God so that I needn't fear anyone or anything else.
ReplyDeleteI love that hymn Be Thou My Vision.
I liked the glimpse of July you've shared. The raspberry red raincoat, umbrella and boots in the rain is precious memory for a young person on such a summer rainy day. My mom used to dress her little children in bathing suits and send us out back to splash in the puddles.
I like the red flowers on your dinning room table, too.
