As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.
I knew Bekah got water in her boot! Is that your front lawn? Oh my goodness! Perhaps the family project needs to be building an ark. We finally got out of the rain today. I'm praying that you guys make it out right off quick. It was a low humidity day, too, so nearly perfection. I'm praying that you get some of those perfect summer days, too.
Oh, you definitely got more rain than we did! You know how our front yard floods when we get a shower and it is not nearly as bad today as yours looks. I wish the rain was going to take the humidity with it, but they are saying it is just going to get hotter instead. :-/
Beautiful photos! I love the red. Your daughter looks so good in the rain. I'm afraid around here (if we ever got any rain) we would all just look like drowned rats:)
Oh how lovely! Beautiful pictures! makes me want to go out, get wet, splash around and listen to the pitter-patter of drizzling rain:)Little Red Riding Hood playing in the rain:) Thanks for a rainy day inspiration and for your sweet visit!Hugs,Poppy
And if one is going to play in the rain one MUST wear red. It is simply hands down The Best color for rain play. Perhaps you could send some to texas?

We're not flooding but rain, rain, rain.
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting weather pattern, and heading west not east!
Maybe those who have been in such drought conditions will get out of it!
