It was a fine day, this day for honoring dads.
From the gorgeous weather
to the smell of the grill and the outdoor picnic.
From kids running and playing
to adults talking and laughing.
(Some adults even jumped on the trampoline!)
From German chocolate cake and apple pie
to just being together.
Three dads, three generations.
My dad and his two daughters.
Ron and his three girls.
My son-in-law Brian with his five children.
And ending the day with a father-son chat from across the miles.
A fine day.
What cute decorations. Looks like you celebrated well. Did many of you happen to wear black or was that part of the plan? Looks good in the pics!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day! We feasted on Mexican food, enjoyed time with Tim's sister and our brother in law, took the kids to the beach! All rare treats!
ReplyDeleteLoved your decorations! You know how to celebrate!

ReplyDeleteWonderful! Looks like a Dad-Honoring time was had by all and, from the grins on the dads' faces, looks as if they had a good day, too.

ReplyDeleteTell Bekah that the decorations are great! The weather was great for grilling. Love to see how many generations of Dads were represented.
ReplyDeleteGrilling and Father's Day just seem to go together don't they? The best days I can think of are those spent with family, looks like you had a great one.(love that you were able to have three generations represented)
ReplyDeleteI took exactly ZERO pictures. Sigh. Why do I forget that? Great pictures of a beautiful family, Cheryl.
