As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

gather. {for worship}

One of the highlights of my week is our gathering with His Body on Sunday mornings. We are so blessed to be a part of a fellowship where God's Word is exhorted faithfully and where there is unity among believers. Our worship together is a beautiful thing.

"Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name." Malachi 3:16

  2. I'm enjoying your 31 days. Today's "Gather" brought a recent memory for me. We gathered at Mass last night. Our Priest is on vacation and we have an old retired Priest when ours is gone. He is the most gentle man and can relate the Gospel like no other. He goes to Mexico for the winter and will be missed. He's getting to be quite elderly (in his late 80's) and speaks in a hushed voice. I looked around and saw parishioners leaning forward to catch his wonderful words. The Church was silent while he was talking. Everyone wanted to hear him. He's quiet when he speaks, but has a beautiful singing voice still. Your post just made me want to share this.
    Have a blessed day,
    Balisha
