(so romantic)
Andrew proposed!
And Kati (of course) said yes!
A late spring wedding is being planned and we are over-the-moon excited about it!
We surprised Kati at the airport with balloons and a banner and a hoard of family members with congratulatory hugs and happy squeals!
A ginormous engagement ring (Christmas tree ornament) was attached to the balloons. |
Judah was fascinated by the balloons! |
Dad admiring the ring |
Sisters sharing happiness! |
We are so happy for Kati and Andrew, and we're excited to see God's plan for their lives unfolding!
This makes me so happy! They are a perfect match! God is faithful and good!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing in our joy, sweet friend! Truly, God is faithful and good!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Brenda! So much joy!
DeleteWarm best wishes! What an exciting time for the entire family. Question: Did you and Ron know that the question was going to be popped prior to Kati’s knowing? Many happy planning times to Kati and Andrew and all those who will be adding to them. They make a wonderful, happy, blessed couple and Kati will be such a beautiful 👰🏻.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vee! It is indeed an exciting time! The answer: Yes. Andrew had asked for Ron's blessing when he was here after Christmas, so we knew it was coming sometime. But also no, because we did not know exactly when. (The Biltmore Estate seemed like a good place to us, so that was our guess.)
DeleteOh yes, they are so happy and so blessed and Kati will be a beautiful bride . . . and I will probably be the crying mother-of-the-bride because that is what I do.
Congrats! What a blessing for both families!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melissa! Both families are excited and blessed!

DeleteOh, how sweet to get engaged at Biltmore! You all will have such a wonderful time getting ready for the wedding and then decorating her new house (abode)...she has such a lovely room that you have shared with us!
ReplyDeleteHave you been to Biltmore? I have not, although I hope to see it someday, especially now that there is a special memory attached to it! Wedding plans are in full swing!
DeleteYes, we went in May a few years ago. A lovely time of year to visit, plus it wasn't that busy with tourists! Bought the postcards of their Christmas decorations to see what it looks like at that time of year.
DeleteCongratulations!!! They look SO Happy! Wishing them a God glorifying marriage:) Deb
ReplyDeleteP.S. How did they meet?
Thank you, Deb! Andrew's cousin is the pastor's wife of the church we attend. He was visiting this summer and she introduced them. :)
