As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

{31 Days to Make a House a Home} Day 9 ~ "Throw" Out Some Warmth

Keep a variety of blankets and throws handy.
They provide visual warmth to a room, and...well...actual warmth to a body!

We add throws to most of our seating (three seasons of the year).

I keep a big basket in the living room with extra blankets and throws...

and even the ubiquitous Snuggie®

Because everyone appreciates a little extra warmth.

Comfy and cozy is the name of the game when you want to make your house a home

Psssst...
Tomorrow, I will be sharing one of the most important elements of making your house a home!  Do you have any guesses?

  1. Great idea, Cheryl! We keep one throw in each room... but end up trying to share it when it's chilly! Love the idea of a basket of them!

I've got a guess or two about tomorrow's post! Can't wait to see what it is!

  3. Great idea! We always pull out the throws here at our house. They just make us feel good.
