As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

  1. Wonderful!

We had 4 generations here too! My parents, us, our children and our granddaughter!

Such a blessing to have had this time together!

  2. Everywhere I've seen the scenes repeated of Christmas with family and friends and it just makes me smile...a wee bit of heaven on earth. The little one in red is so adorable! She gives sweet glances, too.

I served a strawberry trifle in lieu of being able to bake and it did NOT look as beautiful as the checkerboard one I see sitting on your table. Someone took a lot of time and love with that one.

  4. What gorgeous pictures of your Christmas gatherings, Cheryl. It appears that Ron and Kati have almost-matching pj's (smile). Your collages are beautiful. I love the joy in each one. And I love that even Pinky received gifts! I hope your week has been going well.
