Thought you might enjoy some glimpses from our week...
Bekah was the only one who was small enough to crawl
inside the cabinet
and support a drawer track while her dad repaired it.
Friends requested a few reality shots.
Here they are...as real as it gets!
Did I really just show you our mess? The inside of the cabinets, and the little dress still hanging in the same place it's been since Sunday's birthday party, and the vacuum cleaner in the kitchen floor? And kitchen stuff strewn everywhere?
I think I did. Don't judge me.
NOTE: I hope to share the completion of Phase One some time next week. Tomorrow we will apply the third coat of paint to the cabinet doors, and then we will let the paint "cure" for a couple of days. I can't wait to get it all put back together and show you!
Bless your hearts.. We are in a mess too & i showed the world mine and its way worse than yours lol. Gonna look great when its done. Cant wait to see!!
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate "real". It's like that here at OUR house, too.
ReplyDeleteEvery day I scan through the blog roll waiting...and today I was rewarded with this wonderful mess. I love it! (I have shown my messes before and my vacuum cleaner. I adore bloggers who tell it like it is.) What great helpers you have! Oh, that photo of cupboard doors on the line is wonderful! How clever of someone... It must be close to accomplished and oh the fun reveal that will be!
ReplyDeleteI love your mess! At least it's a mess that's going somewhere. I have no excuse for mine:) Great shots!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, If you could see me smiling right now, I have done remodeling projects and know how you feel, your mess is not messy compared to some of mine. I know your cabinets are going to be beautiful, and I am so looking forward to seeing the end results. I must get a shirt for my dh that reads "Life is good". Just love it. The girls look so engrossed in their work. I just love this post. ~smile~ Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have been so busy with my strawberries and a few other projects, too.
Hugs,
Sue
Oh, I feel your pain! How I remember going through the same process. I think I beat you on the mess. I had moved everything into the dining room while working on the cabinets. Here is the link to my post: http://gratefulprayerthankfulheart.blogspot.com/2010/10/kitchen.html
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate this post. I?
ReplyDeleteJudge you? HA! That is real life when you've got that kind of project going! I can't wait to see it!

Hi Cheryl, I just found your blog through Honeysuckle Haven. I am interested in seeing your project because we are talking seriously about painting our cabinets. It is scary to me to make that decision but I want to do it. It looks like you have some good helpers. I would like to invite you to share this project or anything you choose at Your Cozy Home Party on Mon. at 8pm through Thurs. at 10 pm. Details on my blog. Would love to have you come!------- Shannon
ReplyDeleteIt's such fun seeing your pictures, Cheryl. I love all of them but got a particularly nice smile out of Ron's t-shirt. Before you know it, the mess will be cleaned up and the rewards of your labor will be well worth any pain. I can imagine the joy you will feel every time you walk into your "new" kitchen. Can't wait to see it with my own eyes.
