As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Spring Is Springing In the House {Part 2}

{Part 1 ~HERE~}

Continuing the transition into spring...

One of my favorite spring decorations is this vintage wire egg basket, found in the garage loft of the house we lived in as newlyweds.

I put away the tea tray, and replaced it with the rack of white dishes (three different patterns) that we will use for buffets for all of the spring and summer holidays and birthday celebrations.  (There are many such occasions!)

These sweet little salt and pepper shakers, a hostess gift from my mom, are on the kitchen table.

A few years ago, I did a google search for vintage Easter postcards and printed some out on beige cardstock.  I display these on a vintage picture/postcard holder.

We put out these Scripture cards, with verses about His death, burial, and resurrection.

Words of Lfe on the front and back doors...
...and now our house says SPRING!
