As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Note Card Party: The Back Door

Since this is the fourth time that I have joined the party at Vee's Haven
I am thinking that you all must be back door friends by now!

Come on in!

The LORD shall preserve thy going out
and thy coming in from this time forth,
and even for evermore.
~ Psalm 121:8

  1. I love the idea of a back door post, and I love the scripture you chose to go with it. That's just perfect.

I think every photo is wonderful and note card worthy, but I like to choose a favorite at this party so my favorite is the third one down with the wicker chair and geranium.

  2. I love how all the pictures have the right feel for the season. The summer and spring are all bright and cheerful the fall one has a golden hue, and the winter one makes me chilly. (But you know me, it doesn't take much to make me chilly. :)

  8. What a wonderful theme! Funny how reflections throw us off a bit as in the first, it's as if being in a little dream where I can't tell exactly what's what. The scripture is a perfect complement. Yes, this is a set of note cards I could really enjoy.
