As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

And now it is time to say good-bye to February.  Ron heard spring peepers a few nights ago, so we now feel that it is fitting to think ahead to spring.  Green things, spring baskets, Resurrection Day, Bekah's birthday...all just around the corner.

Are you thinking ahead to spring?

  1. I thought I heard some outside birds early one morning, it might have been my two lol not sure I was too sleepy. Today it is 59 degrees here... Maybe that old ground hog was right for a change, but heard on the news a snowstorm may happen next week. xo

  3. I might be thinking ahead to spring if there were any signs of it as there are there. Peepers already? How delightful...one of my favorite spring things.

Lovely nod to the month that has been. Beautiful family gathered around the table with one angel peeking at the camera.

  4. Since we are hosting a birthday party this weekend with a flower-y theme, the winter decor has been coming down this week and a few spring touches are appearing. It seems a little early, but I can justify it tomorrow-- March 1!

  5. Nice February review. I think winter must be about over here, though you never know for sure. But the air, though cold, feels different, the daffodils are almost on their way out, and the grass may need mowing this weekend, All signs that it's time to embrace a new season.
