As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Sunday Snapshot

Right now, we are all about preparing for graduation.  Ordering a cap and gown, designing announcements, planning food, looking through almost eighteen years of photographs, looking (and looking...and looking...and looking) for a lost cd that had the music that Kati wanted.  So it is no surprise that the theme this Sunday was...graduation!

In this Sunday's snapshot, Kristin and Kati are working on the dvd slideshow that will be shown at the graduation service.  (After a few nail-biting moments, success was achieved!)

  1. Very serious expressions there Cheryl, ~smile~ I can only imagine the excitement around your home. And You will do great when you speak at the graduation service. And if the tears do come, that will be fine too, after all you have been her teacher, mother, friend, encourager, and much more. I have so much admiration and respect for mothers who homeschool their children. If I had school age children today, I would want to homeschool.
A job well done! Go and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
    Hugs,
    Sue
