As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Diary of a Whim {Part 3}

For the background story, read...
Diary of a Whim {Part 1} which I decide to paint my kitchen cabinets.
Diary of a Whim {continued} which I fill you in on the planning process.

Ron is on vacation...and things are happening!

Cabinet doors are coming off!

The eleven-year-old is using power tools!

We are all cleaning and scrubbing and sanding
and cleaning and scrubbing and sanding
and cleaning and scrubbing and sanding some more!

  1. I'm so excited to see how it all turns out!

Bekah's hair is still curly! So cute!

  2. Eleven year-olds with power tools! Go Bekah!

Can't wait to see the results! I may leave pictures randomly lying about in case they may inspire somebody around here!

    Kim :-)

  3. Fun fun! Nothing like a nice spring makeover!

  4. Many hands make light work! Oh it's going to be good. I can already tell...

  5. Cheryl, I can feel the excitement in your house as the Big, Long-Awaited Project begins in earnest. (Well, I can at least feel the excitement of the females. Is the Male excited, too?) I love it that everyone is pitching in. It will be such fun to see the Finished Look! A new color may even call for new matching linens and napkins!

  6. Frances, I like the way you think! New linens...hmmmm... :D

And I think that the male is excited in a male sort of way. He does like projects. (Thankfully.)

  7. Looking forward to the big reveal. :-)
