As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

    1. We are aided in part by the YouTube video we were singing along with! :)

It was a great day, Rosella! And how about that pile of mashed potatoes! Ron always makes the mashed potatoes and he does a 10-pound bag for Thanksgiving Day. Whoever transferred them in the serving bowl decided to put them all. I thought it looked like something the Whos of Whoville would have served at their feast! Fun!

  7. I love how your family all sits together on one long table for Thanksgiving. Cheryl, the place cards and table decor are simply beautiful. I really like the way you have featured each child on your collage. The prayer of song is perfectly beautiful!

    1. The possibility of extending the table was something I dreamed of for years, and it was definitely one of the things that sold us on this particular home. I am thankful for it! Thank for all of your gracious words! I, too, love the message of this song!
