As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Our Faraway Family

One of the nice things about Kati visiting her faraway family is that she can provide us with beautiful family pictures like this:

Sarah, Eve, Nora, and Ryan

...and this:

The family in their element!

  3. Oh Cheryl ... Both photos are precious. I was able to click on the second one and enlarge it, but even though I got the "hand" on the first image, it wouldn't enlarge. There's nothing like pictures when your loved ones are far away and you can't actually see them face to face. I was so happy to read that Kati's work permit came through.
