As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Sunday Snapshots: A Little Green


A few shots from the annual nod to our Irish heritage...


1) Owen dodging his weekly kiss from Aunt Kati...while holding on for dear life to his piece of  Irish soda bread!
2) Papa, dressed in Irish green, snuggling with Alaine, dressed in her jammies
3) The bairns' table
4) Corned beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread
5) Always desserts.  This week: Key Lime pie (not so Irish, just a hint of green), Irish potato candy, chocolate-mint sandwich cookies
6) Kati in her new kelly green shirt, dealing out cards for Apples to Apples

She looks like a dangerous beast, no?  ☺

    Your collage looks like a page out of one of my favorite books; "Mrs. Sharp's Traditions " She is so good at creating celebrations for children. I like seeing all your "trimmings" and all the seats full around your table.
