As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Scenes From the Bathroom Remodel

Oh yeah.

Thankfully, these were scenes from last week.  This week, Ron is back at work (ha! like last week wasn't work!), and we're putting finishing touches in place.  Hope to have "after" pictures by the weekend.

  1. Haha, it's funny to see items "displaced" like that! Not everyone can boast a bathroom on their porch! =)

  2. Hi Cheryl, I am so glad to be able to catch up on what you have been doing!I just haven't been in blogland to much lately as it is our busy season. Looking forward to seeing how your bathroom make over turned out. I love a claw foot tub, it brings back so many memories for me as a child, and when we built our home it was one of the things that I wanted. I do enjoy a good soak after a a day in the garden.

I enjoy your Sunday snapshot posts, seeing families together and enjoying time well spent always blesses me so much. You have a beautiful family, it shows on their faces. Seeing the grandchildren in the toilet I know was a sight to behold. Oh how I miss not having my family nearby, but i do cherish the times we have together. And taking photos like you are doing is something they will have to look back on, remember and enjoy.
Always a joy to visit with you.
    Hugs,
    Sue

  3. Yup, just as I thought, the toilet in the front yard! Ha! Well, at least you have a porch to somewhat hide it. Of course that wonderful bathtub doesn't need to hide.

Congratulations on the remodel, and I know the finishing touches stage is the fun part. Enjoy!

    Blessings, Debbie
