As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Christmas Day {Hope, Joy, Love}

"In His name the nations will put their hope."
Matthew 12:21

On Christmas Day, we celebrate the hope of salvation, made possible because He came.

Into a dark world, He came.
And because He came, those who receive Him have hope and joy and love...
in the midst of darkness, in the midst of sickness, in the midst of sadness, in the midst of brokenness.

Because He came.

"And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at His birth."
Luke 1:14

  8. Beautiful photos!I especially love the ones showing interactions...the kiss atop the nephew's head, the father and son-in-law chat, course the food looks so good. Oh, and don't look now, but you have a granddaughter growing up right before your eyes. How lovely! Love the joy on Bekah's face with her new music books. I have the one of those myself. Must dig it out. Keep on sparkling!
