As we hear such devastating news from around the world, our hearts are moved for our brothers and sisters in Christ. They are our family, although we have never met face to face.
These passages were in yesterday's reading in The Daily Light . . .
- Pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
- Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
- Pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.
- Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
- The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
And so I pray with my brothers and sisters who are suffering, who are afraid, who are risking their very lives for the sake of the Gospel . . . that they would be strong and courageous and faithful. It is the least that I can do.
'The least' is so very powerful, Cheryl. Thank you for your prayers.

joining with you in prayer for a terribly
distressing situation (on many fronts)
and the need for miracles. truly.
Amen! So thankful that God is sovereign. Praying that He would be very close to believers in harm's way.
ReplyDeleteAll I can come up with to say is Amen! And that I agree with all the other posters. I appreciate your thoughtful, centering post, Cheryl.
