As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

On a November Saturday . . .

~  Coffee time with Ron this morning.

~ Reflecting on last night's small group study. Good discussion. Sweet fellowship. Sharing hearts.

~  Thinking about this year's Thanksgiving table. Making plans . . .

~  Anticipating dessert and coffee/tea with our son and his family this evening.

~ Listening to Thanksgiving music playing on Spotify. (This is the link to my playlist if you'd like to listen too. If you don't have a Spotify account, this is my YouTube playlist from last year.)

~  And now . . . cleaning!

Gotta run!

  3. Will check out the You Tube Playlist; know nothing about Spotify.

That's a sweet vignette. Lots of plans taking place all across the country, which
is fun to think about. 🦃

  5. I've not heard of Thanksgiving music. I'll start playing Christmas music after November 11 when we observe Remembrance Day. (We had Thanksgiving last month) Sounds like a quiet yet productive Saturday.

  7. Thank you for sharing your Spotify list, I'll add some of those songs. I remember the Getty song from last year, and enjoy listening to it. I'm not as tech savy as you are to have a link to my Spotify songs. Here are a few of my favorites from my list if you care to check them out: "That's why we praise Him" by Keith Lancaster, "There shall be showers of Blessings" by Sue Dodge, "Thanksgiving Theme" (it's actually in the Charlie Brown Christmas album!), "Thanksgiving Waltz" which includes "We Gather Together" by Harvest Home, "Ashokan Farewell" by Jay Ungar (just a lovely piece of orchestration). And I know you have a "For the Beauty of the Earth" piece, but I also like the arrangement by John Rutter. Thanks so much.

    1. I can hardly believe that more than a week has passed since this Saturday post. What a week (actually, more than a week) it has been!

I really love having a Spotify account! I have several playlists, plus a lot of "favorite" songs. There are SO many choices. I can listen all day, any day, and I also have an adapter in my car so that I can listen to music of my choice while I am driving.

      Happy new week to you!
