As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

    I love how the photos of the family are simple and unposed. It shows the simplicity of living and enjoying life with each other. You all are making wonderful memories.The pie looks absolutely delicious BTW.

    I love the names on the cups. I agree that with all the hardship and pain in the world it is a joy to gather with our loved ones and wrap warmth and joy and love around them.

    Yes, I did find some good things. I am using the "nevertheless" principle. It goes like this: it has snowed for three days; nevertheless, the hot chocolate tastes fine.

    We found lots of good things this weekend. The best was our sermon on Sunday and having communion. That pie looks delicious and I love the idea of a taco bar! Blessings!

    Love the names on your cups. And yes, the chocolate pie looks good. The heart reminds me of the years we all sewed oversized puffy Christmas tree ornaments and the heart pattern looks just like yours. I still have a few. I should get the heart out for valentine's.
