As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

Enjoying the Flavors of Autumn

Wish you could be here to enjoy the aromas in the kitchen today. Lots of cooking and baking in the works...
  • Sweet potato be made by Ron who saw the recipe in my latest Country Living magazine...deja vu! :-)
  • Rosemary the works by Kati, for our church fellowship's soup lunch tomorrow.
  • Shortbread cookies...for Owen who is coming this afternoon for his Papa-and-Gran Day, baker TBA.
  • Cream Cheese Chicken be made by me, also for tomorrow's soup luncheon. This is a favorite introduced to us by my dear daughter-in-law, Sarah; Kristin posted the recipe on her blog a while back.

Love autumn's bounty!

* Check in on Monday for a fall give away!

  1. It all sounds delish! If you're willing to share, I'd love a copy of your rosemary bread recipe. I rarely stray from making oatmeal or honey wheat, but I think it's time to branch out. :) And every time you've mentioned it, it sounds so, so good.

  2. I need the rosemary bread recipe, too!

  3. I'll get Kati to make you both a copy...hooray for daughters who love to bake!

  4. I wouldn't mind having a copy, too. I can wait until I see you next. Maybe the twenty-first?

  5. I put the recipe on by blog. Just go to to get the recipe.
