As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

CeLeBRaTe!! {Day 10 ~ Five!...and a Borrowed Birthday Tradition}

Birthday blessings to an endearing five-year-old!
Happy Birthday, darling Ben!
With much love from Papa and Gran...

CeLeBRaTion Tip of the Day:
My daughter Kristin's family has a sweet birthday tradition. At birthday meals, they go around the table and each person says one thing that they love about the birthday boy or girl.

I have borrowed that tradition on a few occasions, and today I'd like to tell you one thing that I love about my grandson Ben. I love that Ben has a zest for life; he gets excited over big and little things with equal enthusiasm!

This is Day 10 in the series CeLeBRaTe!!  Click ~here~ to see more.

  2. That is a wonderful idea and since the birthday girl around these parts is always doing things like this, I think we can safely turn the tables.

    (Though personally, I think that Mr. Higgs [of the God particle fame] stayed home from his celebrations because they keep singing that song "Higgs Glorious Higgs" whenever he shows up.)

    What a cutie pie Ben is and may he have the most fun birthday yet!
